Giving Back

Giving back has become a meaningful aspect of my life in recent years. I am very grateful to the people and companies I work with that have exposed me to the different ways in which I can support and serve others leveraging the experience, skills and resources I have available to me, in order to contribute toward advancing social, political and environmental change.

With that in mind, as of March 2020, Maison Fleur donates 10% of all sales (revenue) to a rotating selection of charities.

Where will the donated money go?

The money will go to a rotating selection of charities each financial quarter. This will allow us to highlight a different need or cause throughout the year, which will raise awareness and hopefully inspire others to donate their time or money.

*Donations will usually go to 501(c)3 nonprofits, but not always. There might be a terrific cause or need we can help address that for some reason doesn’t happen to be a 501(c)3. Regardless, we will definitely be upfront and transparent in every case.

Scroll down for more info on where we are donating each quarter.

Q3 2020

Food Bank NYC

From their about page: “To end hunger by organizing food, information and support for community survival, empowerment, and dignity. Food Bank For New York City has been working to end food poverty in our five boroughs for over 35 years. As the city’s largest hunger-relief organization, we employ a multifaceted approach centered on helping low-income New Yorkers overcome their circumstances and achieve greater independence.”

June 2020

NAACP | National Association for the Advancement of Colored People

In light of recent events I have decided to change the donations for the month of June. See blog post for more information on that change.

From their about page: “The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.”
